EDMONTON
Richard Lock
They say if you build it, they will come. Well, when Richard builds it, success is what comes. (Good thing he has the energy of 10 men!) The founder of Lock Search Group, Richard has led the company through nearly 30 years of exceptional growth. Today, Lock is the only professional Canadian search firm with offices from coast to coast, extending into the United States. Naturally, Richard invests a significant amount of time travelling to all branches of the company, including the Toronto office, where he works closely with Peter Zukow, his strategic partner on business development and management.

Expertise: President
Peter Zukow
If you don't already know Peter, you should. Because Peter knows all the right people. As the "ringmaster" of all our offices, and with extensive recruitment experience in all industries, Peter knows exactly where to find exceptional talent and exceptional clients. He also plays a key role in providing strategic direction and business development for Lock, working closely with Richard Lock, the company founder. Didn't we say that Peter knows all the right people?

Expertise: General Manager
Christopher Goodrick
They say Christopher Goodrick is good with his hands. Starting his career off as a tradesman probably didn't hurt. His entrepreneurial talent led him to establish his own construction company. Now, Christopher brings two decades of hands-on experience from the mechanical and industrial-technical sectors to Lock Search Group. Moving quickly from the industrial shop floor to outside sales to branch, regional and national sales management positions, Christopher knows what it takes to rise to the top. And when he isn't working relentlessly to find the perfect hire, he puts his hands to rest on the wheel of his motor home and hits the open road.

Dustin Hollman
Is Dustin Hollman a 1950’s DC comic superhero come to life? Let’s review the evidence. Schooling: Bachelor of Science from Concordia University College of Alberta with a major in Microbiology and minor in Psychology. A self-made man who put himself through University while maintaining a full time job and graduating debt free. Previous employment includes lab assistant (2x); forklift operator and licenced private investigator (!). As a branch manager of Enterprise Rent-A-Car, he was one of its fastest promoted employees and went on to grow his branch to the most profitable one in the province. Hmm. Starting to look like your typical clean-cut hardworking hero, isn’t he? But there’s more. He is described by friends as a selfless person who takes pride in helping those in need; a kid at heart who loves to make the most of life. He loves walking his dogs and working on his ’69 Pontiac. What works against this superhero theory? Really only his mastery of popping and locking to 90’s hip hop – DC comic book heroes were way too white-bread to be able to actually dance. Also his fondness for hot yoga is frankly something we simply don’t understand. But whether or not “Dustman” has a secret identity rescuing cats, creating the cure for halitosis and using his PI mad skillz foiling underwear bomb plots, we here at Lock are happy to have him on board for his work ethic, proven industry experience and his desire to put people into positions that will enhance their life, not only their career.

Expertise: Business-to-Business, IT & Telecom
Glenn Lesko
If you look to the left of your screen you'll find the professional recruiter in his natural habitat. Shh... let's try not to disturb this rare creature. OK, so maybe he's not "rare" per se, but Glenn does have his unique expertise. Prior to joining Lock, Glenn, an avid hunter, enjoyed a long and successful career that included working for three international pharmaceutical companies. Since then he has become an expert recruiter not only for the pharmaceutical industry, but also for the consumer goods, beverage/alcohol, food service, communications and media sectors. Dedicated and proactive, Glenn builds long-term relationships with all his clients. And if you're really nice to him, he just might take you hunting.

Expertise: Consumer Goods, Life Sciences
Adam Pennycook

Adam Pennycook describes himself as a silver-tongued, game-playing juggler but, hey, he’s not talking about being a ladies’ man. No, no. It means that among his many skills, he speaks three languages, he’s an inveterate video gamer, and somehow managed to learn how to juggle! Although his Xbox 360 is one of his prized possessions, he also plays numerous actual sports too when his thumb gets tired. As for his nasty juggling habit, we’ve learned (the hard way) to keep small objects off our desks for those moments when he drops in for a chat. While earning his degree at the University of Alberta and for two years after, he operated his own painting company. He later moved on to being an Estimator for a large commercial painting contractor which gave him a solid base in commercial construction. His personality and sense of humour attracts other people and makes people comfortable enough to open up. He is motivated by the opportunity to help people better themselves and would like you to give him a call sometime to do just that.

Leah Read

Leah Read comes with serious academic and practical experience to her role here at Lock. Not only has she received her MBA in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University, she has years of real life experience to draw on. From working with Edmonton’s Food Bank and participating in the Streetworks needle exchange, the Mustard Seed church and HIV Edmonton, she has also gone abroad to gain international experience. She completed an Internship at an NGO in India where she not only learned critical skills in a professional capacity she also honed her mime and charades skills in communicating with a mostly non-English speaking staff. She spends a considerable amount of time looking after others but, she also knows how to look after herself and has a black belt in taekwondo to prove it. She cares not only about people but also our friends in the animal kingdom with three thirty gallon tanks full of fish at home. She also used to have a pet butterfly (?) named Calliope(?). Best not make fun of her about that one (see black belt above). Leah would love to add you to her collection of people and pets she looks after – give her a call at Lock soon.
