VANCOUVER
Richard Lock
They say if you build it, they will come. Well, when Richard builds it, success is what comes. (Good thing he has the energy of 10 men!) The founder of Lock Search Group, Richard has led the company through nearly 30 years of exceptional growth. Today, Lock is the only professional Canadian search firm with offices from coast to coast, extending into the United States. Naturally, Richard invests a significant amount of time travelling to all branches of the company, including the Toronto office, where he works closely with Peter Zukow, his strategic partner on business development and management.

Expertise: President
Peter Zukow
If you don't already know Peter, you should. Because Peter knows all the right people. As the "ringmaster" of all our offices, and with extensive recruitment experience in all industries, Peter knows exactly where to find exceptional talent and exceptional clients. He also plays a key role in providing strategic direction and business development for Lock, working closely with Richard Lock, the company founder. Didn't we say that Peter knows all the right people?

Expertise: General Manager
Brent Dodge
Brent is the sort of guy who blushes when you call him a Renaissance man - though he’ll quickly slide into a discourse about how the term arose in Renaissance Italy and was first promulgated by the polymath Leon Alberti... See what we mean? He received a B.Sc. in Cellular/Molecular Biology while qualified as an Academic All-Canadian for Men’s Soccer. He went on to Assistant Coach the team to its first Provincial Championship in 17 years. On top of that he was Vice-President of the TRU Students’ Union. He has worked as a product representative for Impres Pharma and for Janssen Ortho Canada and particularly at the latter racked up numerous accomplishments. He has a sense of personal obligation to exceed expectations and do the best job he can possibly do for his clients or, as he likes to say in Latin, per ardua ad astra. What a guy.

Frank Joe

As a successful entrepreneur, Frank has had experience managing and developing a retail business from scratch and understands what it takes to move a company to the next level. A graduate of Simon Fraser University, Frank has over a decade of experience in Business-to-Business sales and business development for companies including IKON Office Solutions, Bell and American Express. His varied experience and strong management skills mean he understands the needs of clients and candidates alike. When Frank isn't putting organizations in touch with star players, you'll find him strapping on his hockey skates, perfecting his golf swing or tying a fly to the end of his fishing line.

Expertise: Business-to-Business, Industrial & Engineered Products, IT & Telecom
Dan O'Day
Don't let the youthful looking illustration to the left deceive you; Dan is one of Lock’s longest serving and top recruiters. Frankly, he is a bit of a sensei around here and you’ll often find a line up of people outside his office seeking his pearls of wisdom. Dan is hard to keep up with not only in terms of his skills and experience but, as an avid skier, competitive runner, hiker and cyclist, Dan is always on the move. He applies the same energy and determination to meeting his clients' needs. Based for years in our Vancouver office, Dan knows the Vancouver market inside and out and has experience recruiting across many different verticals. With several years in both sales and management roles, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients.

Shaesta Rajabali
Shaesta Rajabali: a bubbly, positive and reliable individual takes a job as a Recruitment Coordinator for an Exceptional Search Firm. Shaesta is perfect for the job: she’s a creative, out of the box thinker, full of initiative and loves to learn. But that’s not all there is Shaesta doesn’t come out of nowhere, no sirree bob. She has a degree in Marketing Communications Management (BBA) as well as a Business Management Certificate and Diploma in Business Administration with Marketing accompanied by 5 years of marketing and administration experience. Her previous roles include a Social Media Consultant, Admin Assistant in the Tourism Industry, Marketing Assistant for a Vet Company, and then in a Security Company, not to mention most currently her role as a Project Coordinator. Yes. That’s what we said, Project Coordinator. Gets you right here, doesn’t it? But that’s not all. Outside of work Shaesta likes to watch Reality TV, spending time with her friends playing tennis and volleyball and, big reveal here, pursues her goal of returning to competitive badminton. We think Shaesta’s a winner not just in badminton but as Lock’s new Recruitment Coordinator.

Paul Ritchie
Paul Ritchie is a self-proclaimed jack of all trades, master of none …a tennis player, hiker, father, hockey player, skier / snowboarder and language enthusiast…. actually the last one didn’t work out so well. While he was traveling in the Czech Republic, Paul tried to learn the language but failed because there were too many consonants to keep track of. Asking Paul to be an interpreter may not be the best idea… BUT if you were to get lost in the woods with anyone, Paul is your guy! With all his experience camping along the BC Coast, catching and cooking fresh fish you are sure to survive. Among all his capabilities what stands out the most is Paul’s 25 years of experience in the Industrial sector with a proven track record working with diverse markets and teams. As a leader he has extensive experience implementing market strategies and growing business through his distribution networks in industrial, chemical, construction, welding and truck suppliers throughout the west of Canada. With all his experience, Paul is well positioned to meet the recruitment needs of our clients in the industrial and engineering sector all over British Columbia.

Paul Ritchie

Liesl Rodrigues
Liesl Rodrigues is in love. So much so that she moved from Toronto to Vancouver. Some people would say that it would have to be something really special to make that happen - probably people from Toronto. Are we talking about her job as a Recruitment Coordinator in Lock’s Vancouver office being the lure to the Left Coast? Well, sure, that’s pretty cool but it’s a person we’re talking about. What’s the name? She’s keeping it pretty hush hush. But we know she likes the strong silent type - maybe it’s Sandy. Perhaps Cliff. Roch? Mica? Shale? You see, Liesl is a Geologist with a degree from U of T to prove it. She has always had a love for rocks. Going back to her first Pet Rock, Heavy D, she has had a passion for the Rock lifestyle so much so that she had a career in recruitment for the mining industry after University and worked in a boutique agency in Toronto. But she’s no stick in the mud. She’s not the sedimentary type. Mama is a Rolling Stone. Hence her recent move, her love for hiking and remote camping, her unhealthy passion for NASCAR racing (which might explain why she TALKS REALLY LOUD), and she has sung in a choir for 12 years (again she is REALLY LOUD). What makes her the right person for her job at Lock Search Group? She’s laid back with a very personable nature who loves helping people in any way she can, from giving directions on the street to tips on how to fix your resume. And if you happen to be a Flintstone? Well... Yabba, Dabba, Do.
