They say if you build it, they will come. Well, when Richard builds it, success is what comes. (Good thing he has the energy of 10 men!) The founder of Lock Search Group, Richard has led the company through nearly 30 years of exceptional growth. Today, Lock is the only professional Canadian search firm with offices from coast to coast, extending into the United States. Naturally, Richard invests a significant amount of time travelling to all branches of the company, including the Toronto office, where he works closely with Peter Zukow, his strategic partner on business development and management.

If you don't already know Peter, you should. Because Peter knows all the right people. As the "ringmaster" of all our offices, and with extensive recruitment experience in all industries, Peter knows exactly where to find exceptional talent and exceptional clients. He also plays a key role in providing strategic direction and business development for Lock, working closely with Richard Lock, the company founder. Everyone tells you to “think outside the box”. Everyone, that is, except Mary Callender. Mary is most concerned with thinking about what’s “inside the box” or even “about the box itself”. Her entire career has been in Consumer Packaged Goods, after all. She received her BA in English at the University of Mississippi and her Executive MBA from the University of Central Florida. She has a Sales career spanning 12 years, 4 States and 2 major firms, Hallmark and Mead. She counts managing the Wal-Mart account (the largest retailer in the world) for Mead, as her greatest professional triumph. But lest you believe Mary is a closed-minded person due to her thinking in and of the box, she has on one occasion jumped out of an airplane and would do it again. She loves the outdoors and can’t wait to get out into it (even if it’s not from a plane at 3,500 feet) and engage in hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, and canoeing. She loves her husband of 17 years, her two dogs, her two cats, her friends (whom she has kept since high school and college), outdoor adventures and, of course, boxes of all shapes and sizes. She is particularly fond of pizza boxes and their contents.

Susan and her family certainly haven’t let the grass grow under their feet. With stops in Toronto, Vancouver, Atlanta, and Minneapolis; they are now thrilled to call Bentonville, HOME! Susan loves travel, adventure, health and fitness, cooking and, of course, the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods Industry. All of this makes her the perfect Recruitment Consultant.

She earned her Bachelor of Commerce, Honours degree and worked in recruiting, as the National Franchising Manager for Second Cup Coffee Company, and in various senior management roles for Starbucks Coffee. Coupled with her genuine commitment and passion to help people achieve career success, her experiences make her a great fit here at Lock.

An important member of the Consumer team, Joanne is a graduate of Queen's University who has recently worked in an entrepreneurial capacity to grow a successful business running several sales teams across Ontario. As a Consultant for Lock, Joanne specializes in facilitating searches and placements within the food and beverage industry for Lock USA. She follows up on client requests and ensures that communication flows between all parties. (She also likes parties, dinner parties in particular, where you'll find her cooking up one of her famous dishes.)
