They say if you build it, they will come. Well, when Richard builds it, success is what comes. (Good thing he has the energy of 10 men!) The founder of Lock Search Group, Richard has led the company through nearly 30 years of exceptional growth. Today, Lock is the only professional Canadian search firm with offices from coast to coast, extending into the United States. Naturally, Richard invests a significant amount of time travelling to all branches of the company, including the Toronto office, where he works closely with Peter Zukow, his strategic partner on business development and management.
If you don't already know Peter, you should. Because Peter knows all the right people. As the "ringmaster" of all our offices, and with extensive recruitment experience in all industries, Peter knows exactly where to find exceptional talent and exceptional clients. He also plays a key role in providing strategic direction and business development for Lock, working closely with Richard Lock, the company founder. Didn't we say that Peter knows all the right people?
Give us an “L”. Give us an “O”. Give us a “C”. Give us a “K”. What does that spell? Come on, it’s not that big a word. Right! Lock. As in Lock Search Group. Also, as in being a Lock for a job. Like Emilie d’Anjou was for our new Recruitment Coordinator position. Bilingual, and fresh from McGill University, where she received her Bachelor of Commerce degree in Labour Management with a concentration in organizational behaviour, she has made a study of our own organization and found it to her liking. An independent, hard-working sort, Emilie was chosen to be president of two McGill delegations to national competitions for business students. That figures; Emilie has always been an active and hardworking leader – from her days as a high school cheerleader and through her many years of competitive figure skating. She continues her dedication to figure skating by working as the head coach for her hometown of St-Lambert. She knows she is a good fit for Lock as she loves to work in teams, and feels the Lock team is exceptional. Emilie’s cheerleading experience is particularly valuable; like everyone here at Lock, she wants to tell people how exceptional you are and help you find your perfect match.
Expertise: Business-to-Business, Life Sciences, Recruitment Coordinator
For the past 15 years, Michel has acquired extensive experience in business development, management and national account management in the manufacturing, technical sales, operations, logistics and production sectors. He has worked as a sales manager for manufacturing companies and, most recently, has been a national director of business development. Michel has also led a successful company start-up in Quebec. Efficient and focused, Michel knows how to achieve results by closing the business loop from opportunity and market analysis to execution of sales and marketing strategies. He is also an avid fitness enthusiast, and says he's never met a candidate he can't bench press. Ouch.
Pierre has solid experience in recruitment, business development and management. He was a senior business development manager for a leading manufacturer of office equipment and owned and managed two retail stores. Passionate about the recruitment industry, Pierre has used his energy and people skills to place sales, management and marketing professionals since 1995. He has delivered outstanding results for both clients and candidates, and never misses a step. Apparently, he never misses an Alouettes game either (and as a holder of season's tickets, he might just take you to a game).
Jean-François may look like the guy next door. But don't be fooled. He is intensely competitive, and especially in what he does. With a Bachelor's degree in finance, Jean-François quickly moved on to become a surgical representative for Cardinal Health. So, naturally, his recruitment focus is pharmaceutical, medical, biotech and general healthcare. Need an exceptional candidate fast? Breathe in. Breathe out. (Jean-François also used to be a respiratory therapist.)
