Senior Inside Sales Specialist – Data Communication Division
Greater Vancouver, BCOur client is one of Canada’s leading wholesale distribution companies that support, and targets the construction, trades, and mechanical sectors. They have tasked Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group to find a Technical Sales Professional to lead their Data Communication Division. The Senior Inside Sales Specialist will work out of the Burnaby office and be responsible for establishing positive connections with both internal and external customers alike.
This position involves close collaboration with Business Developers and Account Managers to ensure exceptional customer service, proactively address any potential problems, and oversee the progress of ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in the data communication field the and a proven track record of working collaboratively in a inside selling environment.
Responsibilities:
- A high volume of quote requests and customer inquiries will come your way, so it's crucial to possess the ability to engage and foster meaningful and professional relationships.
- Collaborate effectively with vendors, manufacturers, and our internal staff at the Branch to provide expertise and streamline order processing.
- Interact with customers to identify suitable solutions for troubleshooting, pricing, and product mix, which may also involve handling vendor documentation and certifications.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Data Communication and order processing
- Being an innovative problem solver who exhibits flexibility, adaptability, and a positive mindset.
- Displaying a strong passion for excellence and continuous learning.
- Efficiently managing and prioritizing customer inquiries and communications in a timely manner.
- Conducting follow-ups with customers on quoted projects or providing assistance to Business Developers and Account Managers as needed.
- Keeping track of entered orders to ensure timely delivery and communicating with customers when necessary.
- Coordinate sales lead follow-up and qualification
- Builds rapport and confidence with distributors and end users
- Supplements the customer service department with technical knowledge where applicable
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education, or a combination of education & experience
- Technical expertise in the products and services provided by a Data Communciation Division
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Superior negotiation skills
- Work independently and within a team
- Strong communication & problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS office and other software applications
- Ability to work Independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
