  • Insurance Producer
    Our client is a leading insurance firm with headquarters in Halifax. They are growing their team and are currently looking for an Insurance Producer that will implement marketing strategies to develop a strong network of prospective clients. This position will develop leads and make contact via phone and face-to-face, marketing insurance products. The Producer will service existing clients, conduct annual reviews, and seek opportunities to present products to enhance their insurance portfolio.
     
    This position is a hybrid working model, to help ensure a strong work/life balance.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Ability to network, develop and generate new leads via phone and in-person prospecting
    • Lead engaging sales presentations
    • Solicit referrals from existing clients
    • Visit with prospects or large CL clients to obtain info required to quote
    • Present, review, and discuss renewal proposals to clients, and new business quotes to prospects
    • Lead strategy for marketing and negotiating renewals and new business
    • Delegate day to day requests from clients as needed (assign to AM or CSR)
    • Review complex contracts/insurance specs for confirmation of insurance, as required
    • Review complex contracts for bonding clients, as required
    • Produce new business leads
    • Assist AM on complex claims situations
     
    Requirements:
    • Must hold a valid insurance license in Nova Scotia, compliant with provincial regulations
    • University degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred
    • 5+ years of insurance sales experience, depending on the role's complexity
    • Understanding of Nova Scotia insurance regulations and compliance standards to ensure accurate information is provided to clients
    • Proven ability to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate insurance solutions, and achieve sales targets
    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
    • Comfortable networking and prospecting to generate new leads and retain clients
    • Ability to use CRM software, insurance management platforms, and common office software like Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal and written communication to explain complex insurance terms to clients
    • Ability to manage a client portfolio, follow up on renewals, and handle multiple tasks effectively
    • Strong adherence to ethical standards and integrity in handling client information and recommendations
    • Valid Driver’s License
