Jackson Stewart is working with a national client in the financial space. With operations across multiple provinces and a robust team our client provides innovative financial solutions ranging from business loans to wealth management. Currently their looking to add a Investor Relations Representative to their team.

The primary focus of Investor Relations Representative is to retain and grow the investor base by managing existing relationships, developing new connections through strategic initiatives, and ensuring a professional and seamless investment process. The ideal candidate should have experience in finance, a basic understanding of investment instruments and Canadian registered accounts (TFSA, RRSP, etc.), and preferably a background in sales.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assisting in investment activities based on the Company’s business strategy and annual targets.
• Efficiently manage a pipeline of prospects and core clientele by maintaining and nurturing an active database.
• Maintaining and expanding the investor base by assisting to host industry events, targeted phone calls, e-mail communication and sales presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: sales, finance, accounting and mortgage origination.
• Completing the Exempt Market Proficiency (EMP) exam or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset.
• Proven track record of confidently engaging with clients on their investment needs to ensure the highest level of client and prospective client satisfaction.

Requirements:

• 3-5 experience in the financial industry, ideally working in private banking
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or other related degree
• Has passed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the Exempt Market Proficiency Exam (EMP)
• Proven skills in critical thinking, attention to detail, meeting or exceeding deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines in fast paced dynamic environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and flexible/adaptable.
• Enjoy working in a structured team environment, but also be capable of working independently.
• Have the ability to identify process gaps, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with internal partners.
