Project Sales Consultant - Residential New Home Construction
Tacoma, WashingtonOur client is an innovative leader in the residential construction sector, with a strong presence across Washington State and Canada. This unique BC-based company has engaged Cameron Lappin of Lock Search Group to assist them in their search for a Project Sales Consultant (PSC) to join their team in the Greater Seattle Region. This is a rare sales opportunity for someone with a track record of sales success, residential construction knowledge & comfort working in a consultative sales environment but from an ‘inside’ sales capacity. This is also an opportunity for someone motivated by an attractive incentive ‘commission’ program with large upside potential.
The PSC will be responsible for building meaningful and consultative relationships with clients by strategically guiding them through a sales process to contract closure. One of the keys to this position is organization…which will require the strategic use of CRM tools to track progress. You will receive numerous sales leads (both warm and hot) from the company…your role is to convert those leads to closes. This includes educating clients about custom home construction, providing design and product consultations, ensuring projects stay within budget, and coordinating with the design and construction teams for a satisfactory customer experience. In this role you’ll be developing a referral network, and partnering with builders and the A&D community; you will liaison with various project parties, and have a strong focus on driving customer satisfaction throughout the sales and customer service processes. Though is an in-office position, you will have complete flexibility to meet with customers outside the office to drive results.
You will be responsible for:
- Guide prospective clients through the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract presentation and closure.
- Input essential client data into Salesforce to advance them along the sales process.
- Educate potential customers about the intricacies of custom home construction.
- Offer consultations on design and product choices to define project scope.
- Utilize design and pricing resources to ensure projects align with budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate closely with the design and construction teams to guarantee a gratifying customer experience.
- Foster a personal network of referrals through interactions with realtors, developers, and other industry professionals.
- Provide assistance in navigating municipal and provincial building requirements.
- Act as a liaison among the various stakeholders at each project stage.
- Prioritize and enhance customer satisfaction at every juncture of the sales process and during ongoing customer service interactions.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a post-secondary education or attainment of a professional diploma (Preferably Business, Marketing, or a construction-based focus)
- Effective sales acumen and track record of ‘closing deals’
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Possess confidence, charm and self-assurance when interacting with potential clients
- Capability to cultivate trust and build credibility with customers
- Familiarity with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce – is a MUST
- Commitment to long-term sales goals
- Innate and financial motivation
- Strong preference for professionals with first-hand knowledge in residential construction sector (professionally or personal knowledge)
- Experience within the construction or a related field
