    Job Summary

    Our client, a global healthcare company, is seeking a Sr. Director of Sales to join their team. The incumbent will play a key role in driving business growth by leading a high-performing sales and account management team. The primary focus will be on acquiring new business and expanding existing partnerships.

    The individual will guide the team in presenting innovative, integrated solutions to attract new clients and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers. The role involves creating and executing sales strategies, forecasting outcomes, and aligning internal teams to achieve ambitious sales goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the business development budget and oversee the P&L for the assigned portfolio.
    • Lead the sales and account management strategy for the designated customer portfolio, including setting annual goals and initiatives.
    • Provide direction to the sales and account management team, ensuring high performance within the portfolio.
    • Develop and execute a business development plan focused on portfolio growth.
    • Collaborate with senior management to align sales initiatives and seek feedback for strategic alignment.
    • Regularly report sales activity and performance results to senior leadership.
    • Identify key partnership opportunities, secure business solutions, and defend existing programs from competitors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to drive new business.
    • Support the team in client meetings, guiding the development of persuasive proposals and presentations.
    • Lead the team through the development and presentation of capability decks, RFPs, and negotiation processes.
    • Actively prospect new business opportunities with manufacturers entering the market.
    • Set and monitor engagement KPIs to ensure optimal partner coverage.
    • Ensure proactive follow-up with existing clients to maintain satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
    • Develop financial models for current and future partners within the portfolio.
    • Gather competitive intelligence on the business environment, focusing on client groups, competitors, and government entities.
    • Create and defend business cases that lead to successful portfolio outcomes.
    • Lead the marketing strategy for the portfolio, ensuring judicious use of budgets for increased business awareness.
    • Collaborate with other departments to plan for future growth within the portfolio.
    • Maintain high quality standards for project deliverables and client interactions.
    • Provide impactful internal/external presentations to executive customers.
    • Leverage expertise from stakeholders to optimize Specialty Health solutions within the portfolio.

    Qualifications

    • 15+ years of progressive Sales and Marketing experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Devices. Oncology experience is an asset.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Experience in leading high-performing teams to deliver strategic sales and account management solutions.
    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a results-driven approach and the ability to influence at all levels.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong collaborative approach.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • A passion for success, characterized by determination and focus on achieving goals.
    • Proficient in creating and delivering high-quality presentations that drive decision-making.
    • Ability to craft and defend compelling business cases that deliver favorable results.
    • Skilled at building strategic relationships and negotiating contracts for optimal terms.
    • Able to work collaboratively at senior levels, ensuring successful business outcomes.
